Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone Hogwarts Acceptance Letter
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone Hogwarts Acceptance Letter
A Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) sealed and unopened Hogwarts Invitation Envelope addressed to Harry Potter on his acceptance to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
These production made envelopes can be seen in the movie flying through the air in the Privet Drive house, while Uncle Vernon tries to burn them.
Two styles of envelopes were made for production with either a rear wax seal or rear printed seal, this being of the latter printed seal style, measuring 13.4cm x 18.4cm
A rarer, wax seal example, sold for £7,562 at Bonhams in December 2019. And another for $30,000 at Prop Store Auctions, Los Angeles in August 2020.
Harry Potter memorabilia is on the rise with record prices paid at auction, with a first edition copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone selling for $471.000 in December 2021.
