Princess Diana: A Tribute Exhibition has opened in Las Vegas offering visitors a journey through the life of Princess Diana and The Royal Family.
The exhibition features the world’s largest collection of Princess Diana and Royal Family memorabilia with over 700 items on display to coincide with the 25th anniversary of her death.
The exhibition covers over 10,000 square feet at The Shops at Crystals at 3720 Las Vegas Blvd, a shopping, dining and arts centre that features over 50 luxury designer outlets.
Visitors will be able to stand within touching distance of several of Princess Diana's dresses and evening gowns, presonal correspondence letters, gifts and items personally owned by Diana and The Royal Family.
For a $29 entry fee visitors will see three main collections; The Wedding of the Century (Which includes a replica of her famous wedding dress), Fashion Icon, and Royal Obsession.
The exhibition is in partnership with the Pink Ribbons Crusade to help raise money for the fight against breast cancer.
Many of Princess Diana's dresses have appeared at auction in the 25 years since her death.
And just two months before her death in 1997 Diana herself auctioned 79 of her gowns to raise funds for cancer and AIDS charities.
One of the most memorable sales was the floor length velvet gown Diana wore when dancing with John Travolta at The White House.
Estimated at £350,000 it actually failed to make it's £200,000 reserve at Kerry Taylor Auctions in 2019 and was later sold to the charity that manages the Historic Royal Palaces for £264,000.
A teal coloured gown that Diana wore to a charity ball in 1989 was sold by Kerry Taylor auctions in 1997 before selling again in 2013 for c£75,000, tripling in value in 16 years.
