Harry Potter fans have a treat at Hansons Auctions on July 5th when a collection of film memorabilia with a difference comes up for sale.
The memorabilia has been collected by the owner of a house at 12 Picket Post Close in the village of Martins Heron in Berkshire - better known to Potterheads as the real life 4 Privet Drive, the home of Harry's Aunt & Uncle, Vernon and Petunia Dursle, where Harry famously slept in a cupboard under the stairs.
The memorabilia includes the original letters from the Assistant Location Manager of Warner Bros, makers of the Harry Potter film franchise, asking to use the house as a location for the films, and thanking the owner of the house for allowing shooting to take place.
Also included is a Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone first edition signed by actors Daniel Radcliffe and Harry Melling, and the film's Director Christopher Columbus.
The lot also includes:
- A bookplate signed by Harry Potter author JK Rowling.
- A unique photo archive taken by the owner of the house during filming
This truly unique collection of Harry Potter memorabilia could be yours with a £2,000-£4,000 estimate.
