Tiger Wood's score-card from his very first professional golf tournament has sold for a staggering $104,741 at TheGolfAuction.com.
The score-card, signed by Tiger and his playing partner Joe Daley, attracted 46 bids in total, and quickly soared from it's $500 opening bid.
The score-card is from the 1996 Greater Milwaukee Open and is super special for two reasons.
- It was Wood's first appearance as a professional golfer.
- He also scored his first ever professional hole-in-one.
With 188 yards to the pin at the par 3 14th hole,, Tiger's ball hit the green, skipped twice and rolled into the hole followed by a now familiar fist pump.
The score-card was sold from the collection of Irv Batten, who served 26 years as the Official PGA Tour scorer - and is claimed to be the only score card that Irv, obviously sensing something great, ever kept.
What made the lot even more interesting is that the actual ball used by Tiger Woods to hit his Greater Milwaukee hole-in-one sold for $186,000 at Heritage Auctions in November 2022.
The Titleist 1 ball had also been signed by Tiger in black sharpie and was sold with a notarized letter of provenance provided by the vendor Bob Gustin.
At $186,000 it became the most valuable Tiger Woods signed golf ball, eclipsing the $30,328 paid in April 2018 at Green Jacket Auctions, for the ball Tiger used to win the 2005 Masters.
We're hoping the score-card and the ball have been reunited with a single owner. That'd be some display piece.
