A 2007 Gibson Custom Les Paul guitar once owned and signed by Nile Rodgers is to be sold by Gardiner Houlgate with a £5,000 - £7,000 estimate.
The guitar is part of Gardiner Houlgate's 8th March three day guitar auction including guitars, instruments, entertainment memorabilia and audio equipment.
The antique white guitar, which is described as being in good condition, also bears the autographs of Little Steven and Jackson Browne.
The guitar was last sold by Christie's, New York in December 2021 as part of the Nile Rodgers Collection to Benefit the We Are Family Foundation, a charity founded by Rodgers in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks.
The Christie's sale of 144 pieces of Rodgers' memorabilia achieved a total $1,640,500 with this particular guitar selling for $6,250.
Christie's described the guitar as having been signed by Nile Rodgers at a We Are Family Foundation Gala in 2010.
Gardiner Houlgate have made a name for themselves as the go-to-place for the auction of rare guitars, having sold over 2,000 guitars in their quarterly guitar auctions.
