Ed Sheeran 'Be Like You' handwritten lyrics to auction for £5,000.

A set of Ed Sheeran handwritten lyrics are being offered with an estimate of £4,000 - £5,000 at Bonham's 'British Cool' sale in London on 29th March.

The lyric sheet, measuring 29cm x 21cm, was handwritten and signed by Ed Sheeran in 2010 after a fan's partner had written to him requesting his favourite lyrics.

Happy to oblige Ed wrote the lyrics to 'be Like You' in black pen, and put them in the post.

'Be Like You' was on Ed's 'You Need Me' EP which was released in 2009, and later featured on his album '5'.

Ed Sheeran's memorabila is already gathering quite a following with 220 lots appearing at auction in October 2020 selling for more than £500,000, averaging over £2,200 per lot.

Even his childhood Lego bricks sold for £4,150 so we suggest you certainly have Ed Sheeran memorabilia on your 'one to follow' list.

£4,150 for his Lego bricks?! What price a set of handwritten lyrics?

The only other set of Ed Sheeran handwritten lyrics we know of were for the song Perfect, and were dedicated to his wife Cherry, and sold for £40,000.

You can follow the auction at Bonham's.
